Mobile Health Unit (MHU) Assessment – Khargone District, Madhya Pradesh

The assessment examined healthcare infrastructure, operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, medical services, and outreach support provided to underserved rural communities.

Key Outcomes

  • The Mobile Health Unit successfully provided essential healthcare services to underserved rural communities across Khargone district.
  • The MHU operated approximately 20–24 days per month, ensuring regular healthcare access for beneficiaries.
  • A total of 5,276 beneficiaries were served between July and September 2024, including 3,520 female and 1,756 male patients.
  • Beneficiaries reported high levels of satisfaction regarding treatment quality, staff behaviour, and medicine availability.
  • The MHU effectively addressed common illnesses including diabetes, hypertension, fever, cough, and body pain.
  • The initiative supported healthcare accessibility for elderly, differently abled, and vulnerable community members through outreach and referral services.
  • The assessment identified strong documentation practices, proper biomedical waste management, and organised camp operations.
